Product Overview

Uplift Prevention Clips are designed to minimize drop ceiling panel movement when wind or air pressure changes may be an issue.

Uplift prevention clips are designed for use with drop ceiling panels in situations when tile movement due to wind or air pressure changes may be an issue. Clips clip down onto the back of the suspended ceiling grid such that the "wings" on either side of the clip set just above the ceiling panels on either side of the T-bar spine. One clip should be applied to every 2 linear feet of grid where lifting occurs.

If clips are used in drop-out installations (panels are located beneath fire suppression sprinklers), clips must not impede the panel's ability to release and fall from the grid in the event of a fire.

I have Stratford vynil tiles. Will these clips work with them?

Won't these uplift prevention clips restrict accessibility above the ceiling tiles?

Asked by: George
Ceilume ceiling tile are flexible enough that you can gently bend the tiles at the location of the clip to gain access to the ceiling above.

How Much force of uplift do the clips resist before the clip fails?

Asked by: DDD

We have flat metal panels, maybe 1/8” thick in high wind location. Would your uplift prevention clips work?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didnt work waste of money Love the ceiling tiles but these clips dont work...tiles still dropping down after slight rush of wind so finally bought a roll of 2 sided tape for 8 dollars and it is working so far. Just need to do all the tiles as they drop down...I asked tech about my concern about wind coming in attached room from garage rafters before i bought the tiles he said the clips would work fine. Dont waste your money...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to install and they worked...sort of I bought these clips because during high winds our ceiling tiles were constantly being lifted up and out of place in our breezeway. They installed easily, and they did indeed hold the tiles in place. And the wind just ripped the tiles up anyway, shredding them around the parts being clipped down. Maybe it would work better in areas exposed to less gusty conditions.
