Product Overview

EZ-On Drop Ceiling Grid Covers are exactly what their name implies - the easiest way to make your old standard (15/16 in. to 1 in.) grid look like new.

EZ-On Drop Ceiling Grid Covers are exactly what their name implies - the easiest way to make your old standard (15/16 in. to 1 in.) grid look like new. Made from 100% recyclable rigid vinyl, they coordinate with Ceilume's Latte and Sandal Wood ceiling tiles, cover clean or dirty grid, and require no special tools or adhesive to install.

Main Covers install along your suspended ceiling's main beams and cross T's (basically every section that doesn't run along a wall). They have a tab at one end to cover grid intersections and a lip that allows the cover to "click" into place.

Wall Angle Covers install everywhere your grid runs along a wall. They slide easily onto your wall angle and are pre-cut to fit 2ft. x 2 ft. grid sections perfectly. Trim with scissors as needed in corners, and use three pieces for 2 ft. x 4 ft. sections.

  • Kit contains 25 main covers and 11 wall angle covers
  • Two kits required for a 10 ft. x 12 ft. rectangular room
  • Fit standard (15/16 in to 1 in.) grid
  • Color coordinate with Ceilume's Latte and Sandal Wood ceiling tiles
  • Easy to install; no need to clean grid
  • No special tools or adhesive required

Please note: The number of wall and main pieces varies according to the length, width, and shape of your ceiling. On average, a kit covers about 53 sq. ft. of grid. You can use our ceiling calculator to find out exactly how many pieces you'll need for your specific installation.

How to Install EZ-On Grid Covers

EZ-On Drop Ceiling Grid Covers are exactly what their name implies - the easiest way to make your old standard (15/16 in. to 1 in.) grid look like new. Made from 100% recyclable rigid vinyl, they slide-on easily over clean or dirty grid, and require no special tools or adhesive to install.

Wall Angle Covers install everywhere your grid runs along a wall, and Main Covers install along your suspended ceiling's main beams and cross T's (basically every section that does NOT run along a wall).

EZ-On Wall Angle Covers

EZ-On Wall Angle Covers

EZ-On Wall Angle Covers install along the edge of your ceiling, everywhere your grid touches a wall. They are cut to fit perimeter portions of ceiling grid, and have an over-lip along their length which holds them firmly in place.

To install, simply slide them onto the portion of your grid running along the perimeter of your ceiling.

If you have a 2 ft. x 2 ft. ceiling layout, you'll need one cover for each section. If you have a 2 ft. x 4 ft. ceiling layout, you'll need three covers (two and a little bit extra) for each section. In the case of a 2 ft. x 4 ft. layout, there are no hard-fast rules, any combination of wall angle cover lengths you think looks best will work.

If your ceiling has any outside corners, your wall angle covers can simply be trimmed to fit and slid into place. For inside corners, if the corner isnt riveted, just trim to fit and let the covers overlap. If the corner is riveted, trim off a section of the over-lip to create a tab that will cover the exposed grid section in the very corner.

When your wall angle covers are all installed, your perimeter grid will still not be completely covered; there will be a gap where your ceiling grid mains connect to your wall angle. These gaps will be covered by the tabs on your main/feature grid covers.

EZ-On Main Covers

EZ-On Main Covers

EZ-On Main Covers install on all your main beams and cross T's. They are cut to fit 2 ft. lengths of ceiling grid, have a tab at one end, and an over-lip and up-turn edge which allow them to slip on and click into place.

To install, simply slide them onto your ceiling mains or T's and click them into place. Once installed the tabs cover the exposed sections of grid at intersections and the gaps between wall angle covers.

If you have a 2 ft. x 4 ft. ceiling layout, you have a few options. You can use two covers, which has the benefit of less material/cost but leaves a small amount of the grid edge exposed, or three covers (two and a little bit extra; any combination of lengths will work), which provides better grid coverage.

From here on out, things are pretty self-explanatory, but here are some tips for the best results:

  1. You can begin your installation of main covers wherever you want and proceed in any sequence, but if you start with the outer portions first you'll get most of your trim work out of the way in the beginning, as the grid sections in this area are usually less than full length.
  2. Wherever possible, try not to install a main cover with the tab end covering the gap between two pieces of grid. You will need to do so in some places, every grid just sort of works out that way, but the more you can keep the tabs on smooth, uninterrupted sections of grid, the flatter the tabs will lie, and the better your finished ceiling will look.
  3. You will have more tab ends than you need; don't worry! When you come to a section of grid where no tab is needed, simply trim it off.

how many kits do I order per tile ordered

The number of wall and main pieces varies according to the length, width, and shape of your ceiling. On average, a kit covers about 53 sq. ft. of grid. You can use our ceiling calculator to find out exactly how many pieces you'll need for your specific installation. You can access the calculator using this link: https://www.ceilume.com/ceiling-tile-calculator.cfm Notes: 1) You'll need to measure your room and have those dimensions handy. 2) Step 6 (of 7) is when you'll calculate how many grid covers you'll need. 3) The calculator will pre-populate your ceiling with tiles. If you don't need tiles, deselect them in Step 7 and they will not be added to your cart.

Is there an easy way to measure to figure out how many EZ ON covers you need?

Asked by: Carter
The easiest way to calculate the number of EZ-On Grid Covers needed for your project is to use our Ceilume's ceiling tile calculator. The Calculator will let you input the dimensions of your room, correctly orient the grid, and select both ceiling tiles and EZ-On Grid covers for your ceiling. The final step provides a list of how many EZ-On Main and EZ-On Wall Angle covers you'll need for your space. You can find the calculator by copying/pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.ceilume.com/calculator/accessory/white/ezonmain/

why not just make a white tile that matches the white grid systems in the marketplac , since you only sell tiles, makes sense that you would match the color of armstrong usg, etc, i love your products, but will use another manufacture so the whites match

Asked by: paulie
There is no standardized white for all ceiling grids or ceiling tiles; shades of white vary between grid and tiles for all of the major ceiling grid manufacturers. Add in the fact that ceiling grids discolor with age and exposure to natural and artificial light and the issue of matching shades of white becomes even more difficult. In the end, every manufacturer selects the shade of white that works best for their customers and at Ceilume we believe that our White tiles will add brightness to your space.

Hello I was wondering if you could tell me which grid covers would match the Stratford 4x2 panel in sand. I see the white ones look great with the white panels but wasn’t sure what to order for sand. Thanks in advance

Asked by: Angrygreek

What would be the correct product to use to cover the grid of 2' x 4' tiles? Would the grid cover kit make it look like the Stratford tiles are 2x2 instead of 2x4? Any pictures I can see of this type of use?

I need 1000 sq feet of tile and grid. How much grid does that mean I need to purchase?

Asked by: LKA

If I need 50 tiles (2x4) how many grid cover kits should I order?  Thanks!

Asked by: Glow

Can a ceiling main cover be converted to a wall angle cover by removing the lip and tab? My application needs one more angle wall cover and I have several extra ceiling main covers.

The room is warm and inviting with the white panels and grid covers. it is the highlight of the game room.
